Dr. Mamoon Elbedawi graduated from the University of Gezire and subsequently completed his residency at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Elbedawi completed his Internship at District of Columbia General Hospital in Washington D.C. After becoming Board Certified in Internal Medicine he became Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Elbedawi found his home in Genesee county in 2015 and opened Mid Michigan Gastroenterology where he has found his passion for serving the local community. Along with his extensive education and specialty services, Dr. Elbedawi has been known as a “physician with a great personality, who cares about his patients' treatment plan”.  Dr Elbedawi is known to go out of his way to make sure each patient is attended to and treated like his own family.

Dr Abdalla earned his medical degree from University of Khartoum in Sudan.  Subsequently, Dr. Abdalla completed his internship and residency at Mclaren Hospital in Flint, Michigan and Michigan State University. Striving for excellence,  Dr. Abdalla continued his career by accepting a position within the Mayo Health System and Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota in the Gastroenterological department where he successfully completed two fellowships in the areas of gastric hepatology and general gastroenterologic practice.  Dr. Abdalla continued on to complete his externship at the University of Shila Missouri. Following his externship, Dr Abdalla created a new Gastroenterological fellowship program to which he provided guidance to new residents, fellows and fellow physicians. In October of 2020, Dr Abdalla joined our dedicated team at Mid Michigan Gastroenterology. Dr Abdalla currently holds a liver clinic within our facilities and coordinates regularly with Henry Ford Health Systems and University of Michigan to meet the hepatology needs of our patients including referral for transplantation workup. Dr. Abdalla is the only hepatologist practicing in Genesee county. 

           Dr. Abdalla is dedicated to continually enhancing his education, educating others, taking an active role in clinical studies and best practice along with raising four beautiful young children. Dr Abdalla is known to spend extensive time with his patients to make sure they are educated regarding their disease process and improving patient outcomes.

Stephanie Ostrander Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) practicing Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Stephanie graduated with her Bachelor in Science of Nursing from Northern Michigan University where she came to fall in love with northern Michigan. Stephanie moved closer to family in Flint and while working as a Cardiac ICU RN at Mclaren Flint she completed her Masters in Science degree at Oakland University. Stephanie enjoys her family, traveling and all dogs!

Amy Henson graduated from the University of Michigan with a masters degree in Medical Surgical Nursing and is a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing in Genesee county for over 15 years in Emergency medicine, Internal medicine and Gastroenterology. Amy enjoys providing focused care to patients of all ages and walks of life and is passionate about connecting with her patients individually to improve their overall health. She is a Michigan native and currently raising 3 great kids in the area. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, travel, music and gardening. 

Board certified as a Adult Geriatric acute care nurse practitioner (AGAC-NP) specializing in Gastroenterology. Graduated from Walden University with a Masters Degree in Science in 2020. Prior to graduating, Hannah spent 8 years as a RN at Hurley Medical Center. She specialized in critical care, Covid-19 and Oncology. Born and raised in Michigan, she enjoys traveling, camping and the outdoors.
